The first stop is scheduled at Vulcano (about 10:15h – 11:30h) legendary home of the God of the Winds Aeolus. The southernmost island of the ‘archipelago is separated from neighboring Lipari by a channel about 1.6 km wide and is formed by 4 volcanoes among which one is still active. A two-minute walk leads to the Bay of Levante, which is affected by fumarolic manifestations where the underwater thermal springs (hot water) and natural mud (sulfurous) possess exceptional therapeutic qualities effective for rheumatism, arthropathy and circulatory affections. Possibility of swimming in the hot/thermal waters. Five minutes away from Porto di Levante, however, are the Black Beaches where you can take advantage of a swim or simply walk barefoot on the shoreline. The main street is full of souvenir stores, bars, clothing and costume jewelry stores.
The next stop is Lipari (stop about 11:45h – 14:30h), the largest island of the Aeolian archipelago; it has an area of 37.6 sq. km. Its coasts are generally high and rocky with stacks and caves. It is possible to visit the small town with its thousands of narrow streets and a large historic center dominated by the Castle located on a promontory. The panorama offered to visitors is breathtaking. The Aeolian Archeologic Museum, on the acropolis in Via del Castello, is one of the most interesting of all. Here you will also have the opportunity to shop and taste typical Sicilian cuisine in its typical small restaurants (optional). Bathing on the beach is not recommended, as you would have to rent a cab to get to the nearest beaches and your time would be too short.
The last stop will be on the island of Stromboli (about 16:00h – 17:30h), the only volcano in Europe and one of the few in the world in permanent eruptive activity. It emerges from the sea with two peaks with a height of 920 mt. The crater zone consists of 3 active cones, whose volcanic activity is predominantly explosive in character, throwing lapilli and magma fragments. The lava flows channel into a wide, steep basin toward the sea, called Sciara di Fuoco. It attracts the attention of the international public with its black sand beaches and the picturesque village of San Vincenzo, full of quaint alleys and small stores, where you can shop or bathe. After departure you will circumnavigate the island of Stromboli to admire the famous “Sciara del Fuoco.”

Departure from the port of Vibo Marina (6:30h – 20:00h) is possible upon request.

***From 10/07/2024 to 20/09/2024 According to Ordinance No. 34/2023 issued by the municipality of Lipari that regulates the berths in the Aeolian terriotory, it will not be possible to stop on the island of Stromboli with this program, on this day. Only the curcumnavigation of the island of Stromboli and passage in front of the Sciara del Fuoco will be carried out. In order to be able to be back to the port of Tropea as per the regular program, the stop on the previous islands of Lipari and Vulcano will be extended.

The time indicated on the ticket corresponds to the departure of the motorboat. Passengers are required to arrive at the port at least 30 minutes prior to departure.

The activity is led by an English-speaking guide; however, there may be occasions where communication is conducted exclusively in Italian language.

Cancellations
Free cancellation up to 48 hours before the activity starts. If you cancel under this time or do not show up, you will not be refunded.
This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to bad weather/sea conditions, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.
