3 Days – Aeolian Islands (2 Nights on Board)

Itinerary Aeolian Islands by sailing boat 

Saturday:

Embarkation in the afternoon and final preparations. Afterwards we sail to Stromboli. Stromboli is one of the most picturesque islands in the Aeolian archipelago, characterized by a plume of smoke that often adorns the top and the smell of sulfur. We will also visit the “Sciara del Fuoco”, where the lava flows down to the sea, creating a very special effect, especially in night navigation. Arrival and overnight stay.

Sunday:

Breakfast on Stromboli with mulberry granita and brioche and after you went swimming at the black beaches you visit the small village Ginostra before you sail to Lipari. You visit the west coast of Lipari to the the “White Beach”, also known as “Pumice”, as well as Punta Castagna and Acquacalda. Arrival in Marina Grande of Lipari. Walking in the evening to Marina Piccola, dinner, overnight stay.

Monday:

Breakfast on boat and then sail to the south coast of Salina, stop for a lunch break and enjoy the relaxation and the sea in the famous bay of Pollara, known for its cliffs.
Pollara is one of the surroundings of the town of Malfa and is located in the middle of a volcanic crater; the other half of the crater is literally sunken into the sea, leaving visible a cliff in front of the sandy beach. This area is very rich in caves that can be visited. Evening in Salina and dinner in one of its famous restaurants.

Tuesday:

Awakening in Salina and after breakfast leave for Vulcano. The island tour starts from the port of Levante well known for its hot springs and fumaroles. Continuing the tour towards the north-west you get to the peninsula of Vulcanello and then, just after the channel dividing Vulcano from Lipari and heading south, you reach the beautiful Grotta del Cavallo with fantastic lights. Continuing to get the Lighthouse of Mulberry and then return to Porto Levante. Dinner and overnight stay in the harbour at Porto Levante.

Wednesday:

Breakfast on the boat and departure to Panarea to arrive in the Baia di Cala Junco. This bay is one of the most important stops on the island Panarea as it is the most southern part of the island. There you find a beautiful natural swimming pool, considered as the most beautiful locality of Panarea. The water there is transparent and characterized by the colours from green to turquoise. Stop in Baia Milazzese and then you go on the island to explore the village and the small shops and restaurants.

Thursday:

Breakfast on Panarea and then departure if possible to Stromboli to visit the “Isola dei gechi”. If not you can go swimming and relax between Lisca Bianca and Basiluzzo. Near to Basiluzzo on the sea ground you can admire a ruin from the roman period. Then you visit the small islands of Lisca Bianca, Bottaro, Lisca Nera and Dattilo with its particular form. Dinner and overnight stay in Panarea.

Friday:

Breakfast on boat and departure to Stromboli for swimming and for lunch with the typical “arancini siciliani” on the “isola dei gechi”.
After lunch departure in the direction of Tropea of Vibo Valentia and arrival in the late evening. Overnight stay in the harbour.

Saturday:

Breakfast on board and check out at 10 am.
