1st day: Mountainbike with Guide
Route 1 – THE LIGHTHOUSE
Easy relaxing ride along the coast to the famous lighthouse of Capo Vaticano. The route includes 24 km alternating some descents and climbs. We pass by old farms, onion fields and plantations of oranges. Includes honey and jam tasting!
Duration about 2,5 – 3 hours
Route 2 – MONTE PORO
This tour takes us to the top of Monte Poro 711m over the sea level with 10% gradient. Beautiful breathtaking views with a fabulous view! For trained cyclists!
Route 3 – SEVENTH HEAVEN
Trip to explore the original Calabria by crossing small countries (as Zungri) and side streets. Then we return to 12 km speed of light to enjoy a refreshing ice cream. Route for cyclists with good physical condition!

2nd day: Horse riding excursion
Horse ride along a small river through forests, lush meadows and olive groves. Small picnic with homemade specialties like ricotta, fresh bread and fruits included.
3rd day: Boat trip, snorkeling
You can snorkel and swim in the crystal clear water of Capo Vaticano or just relax while you get to know the famous coastline which offers unforgettable sensations and foto-subjects on board of our nice wooden boat.
Capo Vaticano is situated at about 8 km from Tropea. The coastline is called “Costa degli Dei” – Coast of the Gods and is famous for its beautiful beaches and clear waters.
Beachfans will love this place as well as lovers of nature and families. Capo Vaticano’s big wide beaches and small bays of white sand slope gently into shallow waters – perfect forwatersport and fun with children. Although there are many small hotels and holiday apartments along the bays, the region has retained its natural beauty. There is no real town (apart from some restaurants, bars and supermarkets) but in the summerseason busses run regularly to the town of Tropea.
4th day: Trekking – The Valley of the Mills
Visit and live the multifaceted nature of Calabria with its historical characteristics of the region and discover a lost world with history, nature and traditions.
The starting point of our tour is Spilinga, a small town in Calabria which is located on Monte Poro, not far from Capo Vaticano. You walk on an old trail downhill along a mountain stream, where we visit the remains of a water mill with arab influence of the 18th century. During the tour many rare species of plants can be admired (oak, laurel, elm, alder, willow, poplar, strawberry trees, jujube, myrtle, blackberries, majoram, fennel, nettle, …). The Mediterranean orchids “orchis italic” deserves special attention (also calles “naked man”) as well as the tropical fern “Woodwardia Radicans” which has an extraordinary and unique beauty. Also the fauna in this areas is remarkable. Among the mammals are, the wild boar, badger, fox, marten, weasels, hedgehogs, dormice, …
Your efforts will be rewarded with a delicious tastings of typical products in a typical company of manufacturers, ‘Nduja capicollo, salted pork bacon brawn and other meat, dried tomatoes, olive oil and organic wine.
