Der The “Antico Sentiero Association” is pleased to invite you to an unforgettable trekking tour through an unknown and very special area in Calabria.

 Our first stop is the castle of Galuppi, famous calabrian philosopher in Caria, a small village above Tropea. From there we walk in a beautiful landscape down hills to a torrent which is surrounded by rare wild vegetation.

 During your walk you may admire many types of plant spieces among which the rare fern “Woodwardia Radicans”. At the torrent we have a look on the ruins of a water-mill, which demonstrates the Arabian influence on Calabria.

Returning to Caria we will have a typical lunch in a typical calabrian farm. You are offered a variety of specialities of the region: Carian homegrown beans, ‘Nduja di Spilinga (spicy meat paste), local cheese, Tropea’s famous red onions, salad, grilled meat and delicious local wine. And of course a lot of fun and entertainment!
